Beeswax shrinks away from the vessel and sometimes form a crack in a cold environment. This is not a flaw with the candle but simply a reality of burning beeswax. To avoid cracks, try to keep your candle in a warm area of your house, but if they do happen to crack don’t despair! It is not going to impact the performance of the candle and will almost always fill in again when the candle is next lit. If the crack is particularly deep it might be a good idea to tilt it sideways after relighting to try to melt some wax from around the crack to fill it up.

To prevent fire and serious injury: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

Trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
Burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Avoid drafts, vents or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
Do not leave burning candles unattended
Don’t touch or move the candle until it has completely cooled.
